Thank you for being part of the Amplified journey. It’s taken a lot of energy and determination to go from the vision we had for Amplified, to catalysing growth for our clients but I’m really proud of how far we’ve come, and really excited about what we still have ahead of us!
Circa 90% of business don’t make it beyond year two and even less make it to year four or beyond. But there are steps that can take to help your chance of success.
We have built a model at Amplified that has shown its effectiveness over and over and I’d like to share parts of this with you over the coming months. I hope you are open to receiving these concepts!
Become the Catalyst (in your organisation)
Over recent years the conditions for growth have been less than ideal for many businesses and the future remains uncertain. We may not be able to control the economy, but we do have the power to chose how we respond to the uncertainty and to adjust who we are and what our business needs to be in order to grow
To my mind, the three key components to creating business growth (in uncertain times) Are !
- The Culture: building a coalition of the willing (& understanding of how to get the best out of each other)
- The Capability: knowledge, attitude, skills, habits (and capacity) within the team
- The Catalyst: an individual who identifies the desired outcome and inspires others to go with them.
These components all need to be working in tandem at their highest level, otherwise growth in any form is virtually impossible.
An effective catalyst means you need less energy for change. Think of it like a shortcut that makes the journey faster, but doesn’t change the destination.
Here’s the thing: catalysing change requires us to get out of our comfort zone to where the ‘real magic’ happens. It’s unnerving, which is why so few people take those steps. To be an effective catalyst, we need the capability to think in new ways, so we can go where we’ve never been.
When a leader can step up and paint a picture for the team of where they are going and why they are going there, and then galvanise the willing into going on that new journey, that’s when their chance of success skyrockets.
I’d like to start by asking you to focus on culture. Take five minutes to get to understand yourself a bit better, and how you operate by completing this free DISC profile using amplified.me/disc.
